Food, puppies & fire pit

I made Crys some earrings. Thought she might want a little preview.
By the way sis, with the money we make selling the stuff you left at the
townhouse we're going to buy you a web cam! We're at about $6 now:)

The rose bush bloomed in the garden area. They aren't super pretty roses, but that's ok:)

This is our fire pit/secret garden area. We're working on making it cooler too! It's fun.

Chan was exhausted and decided to take a little rest on the lawn...
It wasn't very peaceful for very long.

I got this recipe out of the Real Simple Magazine. It was SOOO GOOD!
Yummy Peaches. Can't go too wrong.
If you want the recipe just let me know.

Alli update

So I thought I'd give everyone a little update on what's been going on around here. We have moved to Idaho Falls/Ucon area into a house. We LOVE IT! It also has 8 acres which is so nice! Obviously you can tell by my previous posts that we got a couple puppies.
Allison has started to prefer sucking on her fingers and her blanket over her bink. Which is kind of a bummer, but she just barely figured out her hands a little more so maybe she won't be exclusively a thumb sucker. As cute as it is to see her sucking on her thumb:) She chews and sucks on anything she can put in her mouth and can now hold up her head while on her tummy just great. She wants to crawl SO BAD, but can't seem to get her tummy off the ground. She's got the feet going and her arms more stable so that's a start. She does however have short legs which also doesn't help the whole crawling thing. She's a hoot with her laughing, smiling, cooing, noises, etc. Seems like she's talking to you sometimes.
We can't wait for both sets of grandparents to be here (plus some aunts, uncles and cousins) to spoil her rotten. She LOVES anyone who will just sit there and talk to her.
She is getting blessed on July 4th when the family is all here. That should be fun:)
So far we like our ward and neighbors. We don't really like the whole having to water our lawn very much (irrigating sucks), but it is what it is.
We had a garage sale this past weekend. It was pretty successful, but we didn't get rid of as much as we would have liked. Oh well. We made enough to pay for the work we needed to get done on Chan's truck and a little to put towards getting our brakes fixed. Fun stuff!
I got a new desk for the office as well. It is SOOO nice to have more space! Now I just have to get it organized. Things are starting to get more unpacked, but we still have a few boxes her and there that still need to get unpacked.
Alli has been growing out of everything lately, so I went on Craigslist and found some clothes for her. I got a ton of cute stuff! Including some adorable shoes!
Anyway, things are going great and everyone is healthy and happy!:)
I did take some more pictures so I'll post those soon! Take care everyone!

Puppies,Decor, and Alli

This was after the hot fishing day at lone pine. Everyone but her got burned.

They're so cute!

Father's Day :) We both wore yellow because that's Chan's favorite color.
She wore white tights and her cute black shoes too. Chan got yummy cookies at church.
We had steak, pasta salad, fruit salad, scalloped potatoes, and cookies at home for Father's Day. We invited Dave & Shilo over because it was there first Father's Day too.
Sorry I don't have any pictures of the food. It was good though trust me.

lace ruffles

Lace ruffle shirt!
Click on link above and scroll down or look at the following:

Her First Project
I do lots of ruffle shirts on my blog, I had to do on for the M&J challenge too!
{You will need}
{How to}
  • Step 1:  Cut the lace into four strips (18″ each) and fray check the ends.
  • Step 2:  Using the largest stitch setting on your sewing machine, sew the top of the lace (1/4″ from the edge). Pull one thread to gather lace to make ruffles. Pin the ruffled lace onto the shirt diagnally.
  • Step 3:  Repeat the process with the rest of the three strips.
  • Step 4:  Cut the silk ribbon in half horizontally to make 1″ wide ribbons. Cut them in half to make 4 strips of 1″ wide X 18″ long ribbons. You will need three of them.
  • Step 5:  Zigzag the edges of the three ribbons from step 4. To make ruffles, sew in the middle with the largest stitch, pull one thread to gather the ribbon.
  • Step 6:  Pin the ruffled ribbon strips between the laces diagonally twisting occasionally. Sew them onto the t-shirt.
{How to make the corsage}
  • Step 1:  Fold the ribbon 3 times, cut the top wavy(use the picture as a guide)
  • Step 2:  Using the largest stitch setting, sew one side of the ribbon 1/4″ from the edge. Pull one thread to gather the ribbon to make ruffles.
  • Step 3:  Start rolling the ribbon and sew the back to make a flower. Sew a pearl in the middle. Cut a piece of felt large enough to cover the back of two flowers, sew it onto the flowers and sew a pin. Add the corsage onto the t-shirt; it is ready to wear! and… that is what I did!
